Problem
We have no way of measuring success of online marketing efforts ability to generate new users or successful uploads. Incoming traffic to tidepool.org tagged with UTM parameters indicating source, medium, campaign (like a scheduled email, or social media post) is not monitored once a visitor goes to app.tidepool.org.
This functionality is apparently built into the KissMetrics Platform, see http://support.kissmetrics.com/article/show/tracking-utm-parameters, but `Ad Campaign Hit` is not a visible event in our reporting.

UTM parameter tracking and reporting available in KissMetrics
We can say "this email, which delivered X visitors to tidepool.org generated Y new users."
